Steps to View the System from a Customer’s Perspective #

To simulate how a customer sees the system, follow these steps:

  1. Change the user’s password manually.
  2. Copy the user’s email address to your clipboard.
  3. Log out of your admin account.
  4. Paste the email address into the login form.
  5. Enter the new password to log in as the customer.

Tip: This method allows you to verify that permissions have been set up correctly.

Important Notes on Customer Contacts #

  • The email address is the only required field when creating a customer contact.
  • The main customer contact always receives published invoices.
  • Once a permission set is configured, you can name and save it for future use.

Note: A contact’s email address cannot be edited. If changes are needed, delete the contact and create a new one.
