Boomerang Integration
Customer-facing retail storefront managed from Streamline ERP
Boomerang is Streamline’s customer-facing retail storefront. Streamline stays as the admin system, while Boomerang shows customers the items, retail prices, delivery options, pickup options, and dates you make available.
Overview
A practical retail storefront for Streamline ordering.
The Boomerang integration gives Streamline users a customer-facing retail storefront without separating retail ordering from operations. You choose which Streamline items appear online, set retail prices and availability, configure delivery and pickup rules, and guide customers through a simple ordering and checkout flow.
Retail storefront
Show customers the items, prices, delivery options, pickup options, and dates you make available.
Catalogue control
Select retail items from Streamline, enter retail prices, add product images, and set availability by day.
Delivery rules
Configure zip or post code areas with tax options, delivery rules, routes, minimum orders, and available days.
Pickup options
Add pickup locations so customers can choose collection instead of delivery when your setup supports it.
What connects
Streamline runs the admin side. Boomerang runs the customer side.
Boomerang is not a separate operational database. Streamline remains the admin system for the retail catalogue, item availability, delivery rules, pickup locations, payment options, and storefront settings. Boomerang presents those choices to customers in an online ordering experience.
- Enable Boomerang from Company Settings
- Show or hide the Boomerang URL on the Streamline login page
- Embed the storefront inside your website when needed
- Control the customer-facing welcome message
- Configure payment options that are ready to use
- Test catalogue, delivery, pickup, pricing, payment, and availability before launch
Retail catalogue
Publish only the products you want customers to buy online.
The Boomerang retail catalogue controls which Streamline items appear in the online store. Items do not appear online unless they are selected for retail, priced for retail, and configured with the details customers need before checkout.
Delivery and pickup
Control where customers can order, collect, or receive delivery.
Boomerang uses your configured delivery areas and pickup locations to decide what customers can select during ordering. Delivery areas can be based on zip codes, post codes, towns, or areas, with rules for tax, routes, minimum order amounts, and available days.
Delivery areas
Set the zip or post code areas where delivery is available, then attach the correct tax option, delivery rule, delivery route, minimum order, and available delivery days.
Pickup locations
Add collection points for customers who should pick up instead of using delivery. Each pickup location must sit inside an existing zip or post code area.
Customer ordering
A retail ordering flow built around your rules.
Customers begin by choosing pickup or entering a delivery zip or post code. If Boomerang supports the selected area, they can continue to the item catalogue, add products to the cart, review the delivery address and date, then continue to checkout.
Note: Customers can register or log in from the storefront profile area. Registered customers can manage saved address details, and email confirmation may be required before the account is fully active.
Setup logic
Enable, configure, test, then share.
Boomerang should be configured before customers are sent to the storefront. The clean setup sequence is simple: enable Boomerang, select retail items, set delivery and pickup rules, connect or embed the storefront, then place test orders before go-live.
Enable the storefront
Turn on Boomerang in Company Settings, review the URL, add a short welcome message, and decide whether to show or embed the link.
Configure what customers see
Select retail items, confirm retail prices, add product content, and configure delivery areas, pickup locations, available days, and payment options.
Test before launch
Run through registration, address editing, catalogue browsing, cart review, checkout, delivery rules, pickup locations, and payment flow before sharing the storefront.
