Shopify Integration

Connect Streamline ERP with Shopify.

Use Shopify for ecommerce and Streamline for product sync, paid order import, customer import, inventory alignment, pickup location pairing, and fulfillment updates.

Overview

Shopify ecommerce integration for Streamline ERP.

The Streamline Shopify integration connects your online store with the operational records that need to stay accurate after the sale. Products can stay synced, paid Shopify orders can be imported into Streamline, inventory can be aligned between systems, and fulfilled orders in Streamline can update Shopify.

In simple terms: Shopify remains your ecommerce storefront. Streamline manages connected operational records for products, paid order intake, customer import, inventory alignment, pickup location pairing, and fulfillment status.

Why it matters

Bring ecommerce orders into connected operational records.

For food producers, wholesalers, distributors, bakeries, and other order-driven businesses, ecommerce works better when product, customer, order, inventory, pickup, and fulfillment data can connect with the ERP that manages day-to-day operations.

🛒

Import paid Shopify orders

Bring paid and unfulfilled Shopify orders into Streamline so online demand can be processed in the same system as the rest of your operational records.

📦

Sync products

Pair, import, or export products so Shopify and Streamline can share cleaner product records without creating avoidable duplicates.

📊

Align inventory

Support Shopify inventory sync by keeping inventory aligned between Shopify and Streamline after setup.

Update fulfillment

When an order is fulfilled, shipped, prepared, or marked as picked up in Streamline, Shopify can be updated as fulfilled.

What connects

Confirmed Streamline and Shopify integration workflows.

The Shopify integration focuses on practical ecommerce data movement: products, paid and unfulfilled orders, customers, inventory, pickup locations, and fulfillment status.

Product sync and product pairing

Streamline supports Shopify product pairing, import, and export workflows. Pairing is recommended first because it links products that already exist in both systems and helps avoid duplicate records.

  • Pair products manually
  • Auto-pair by product name
  • Import products from Shopify
  • Export Streamline products to Shopify

Paid orders and customer import

Paid Shopify orders can be imported into Streamline. The documented workflow imports paid and unfulfilled orders. Customer records can also be imported, and after the first import, new customers can sync automatically with new orders.

  • Import paid and unfulfilled Shopify orders
  • Preview orders by date range
  • Sync selected orders into Streamline
  • Import Shopify customers without duplicating existing customers

Inventory, pickup locations, and fulfillment

The integration can keep inventory aligned between Shopify and Streamline. Pickup locations can be paired when needed, and fulfillment updates can be sent back to Shopify when orders are fulfilled in Streamline.

  • Align inventory between systems
  • Pair Shopify pickup locations with Streamline locations
  • Update Shopify when orders are fulfilled
  • Support ship, prepare, and picked-up fulfillment states

Workflow

From Shopify sale to Streamline fulfillment.

Once setup is complete, Shopify and Streamline can work together automatically across the documented sync workflows. For larger product syncs, Streamline follows Shopify API limits and slows down when limits are reached.

Fulfill in Streamline and update Shopify fulfillment status.

Setup logic

Set up the connection before relying on ecommerce sync.

Streamline connects to Shopify through custom app credentials. Per the Streamline setup guide, the integration is intended for Shopify Grow, Advanced, or Plus plans; Basic and Free plans are not supported by this Streamline workflow.

Custom app credentials

Enter the Shop URL, API version 2026-04, and required credentials in Streamline so the connection can be tested and confirmed.

Required permissions

The Shopify custom app needs permissions for products, listings, locations, inventory, orders, fulfillment, customers, shipping, and related records.

Pickup locations

Pair Shopify locations with Streamline locations if customers will use pickup. Pickup settings still need to be managed inside Shopify Admin.

Pair first

Pair products that already exist in both systems before importing or exporting. This keeps your Shopify ecommerce integration cleaner.

Sync in batches

For large product syncs, process smaller batches and wait for each operation to complete so Shopify API limits can be handled gracefully.

Test before go-live

Confirm product sync, paid order import, inventory alignment, customer import, and fulfillment updates before relying on the live workflow.
